Soul’s Healing Pen

I think writing really helps you heal yourself. I think if you write long enough, you will be a healthy person. That is, if you write what you need to write, as opposed to what will make money, or what will make fame.

Alice Walker

In the quiet chambers of my heart’s embrace,

Where sorrows linger and tears find their place,

I write to heal,

to mend what’s torn,

To soothe the ache, to be reborn.

With every stroke of pen to page,

I release the pain that’s been my cage.

The words flow free,

like a gentle stream,

Washing away the hurt,

like a distant dream.

Ink becomes the balm,

my soul’s own salve,

A refuge found in lines that I carve.

Each verse a step towards the light,

Guiding me through the darkest night.

Through verses woven with love and grace,

I find solace in this sacred space.

The wounds may linger,

but they shall mend,

As poetry becomes my truest friend.

So I write to heal,

to mend my soul,

To find the fragments that make me whole.

With every poem,

a piece restored,

A testament to the strength I’ve stored.

In the tapestry of words I weave,

I find the power to believe,

That healing comes with every line,

A journey towards a life divine.

  1. In addition to gardening, writing is one of my favourite forms of meditation. It is an invisible medicine.
